Kaye Scholer will host two concurrent CLE programs highlighting recent trends in Trust & Estates and Securities & Insider Investigations. The firm invites all alumni to then reconnect at a cocktail reception immediately following on the New York office's terrace.
The CLE programs include:
Death & Taxes, the International Edition: International Tax Issues for the Domestic Estate Planner
Gone are the days of the secret Swiss bank account and anonymous Panama shell company. For the internationally connected client, the complex web of U.S. tax rules, foreign tax regimes and global information sharing requirements can lead to unnecessary risk and severe penalties if not carefully managed. Kaye Scholer’s Private Clients attorneys Edward Vergara, Sarah Constantine and Brian Hans will lead this presentation on the complex world of international tax issues.
Recent Enforcement Trends in the DOJ and SEC
Over the last year, the DOJ and the SEC have shifted their focus in a variety of cases, based on agency policy changes and in response to changes in the law. Kaye Scholer’s White Collar partners Jon Green and Andrew Bauer will present on the agencies’ refinement of approaches on Individual Accountability for Corporate Wrongdoing and Insider Trading jurisprudence. Corporate partner Mark Kingsley will discuss the impact of these changes on insider trading and other corporate policies.
CLE credit will be awarded for New York, California and Illinois.
