Jay Waks, Partner in the Litigation Department of the New York office and Chair of the Employment & Labor Law practice, has been named to "The Nation's Most Powerful Employment Attorneys" by Human Resource Executive. This prestigious list, published in its May 16, 2009 cover story, "Warnings From the Top", is compiled annually by the magazine and Lawdragon, a news and networking site. Candidates are researched and vetted from HRE's and Lawdragon's extensive databases of lawyers and clients, and more than 30,000 lawyers and HR executives are contacted in the selection process. "These are the attorneys companies are turning to as they downsize, go out of business -- or try to stay in business by trimming costs", the HRE article explains.
