Andres Liivak Joins Kaye Scholer LLP's Pre-Eminent Life Sciences Transactions Practice

New York – Kaye Scholer announced today that Andres Liivak has joined the firm’s pre-eminent Life Sciences Transactions practice as a Partner in its New York office.

Liivak will practice exclusively in the area of life sciences transactional matters, and brings his extensive dealmaking experience to the firm’s collaborative, multidisciplinary life sciences team, known for its licensing and collaborations, M&A and private equity, intellectual property litigation, product liability litigation, commercial and deal-related litigation, and bankruptcy and restructuring services.
Liivak has wide-ranging experience in bringing together partners and investors in the life sciences industry to build productive discovery, development, manufacturing and commercialization relationships through critical collaborations and strategic alliances, including joint ventures and innovative, leading-edge commercial structures. He has led numerous M&A deals and played key roles in spin-out and reorganization transactions involving the purchase, sale and transfer of complex life sciences assets, technologies and products, including out of bankruptcy. Liivak has been trusted by clients to help them grapple with strategic litigation problems and to put in place significant business arrangements settling deal-related commercial litigation and complex, bet-the-company intellectual property disputes.
