International IP Litigator Grace Pan Joins Kaye Scholer’s New York Office as Partner

Fluent in four languages, Pan admitted to practice in US and Japan

New York — International intellectual property litigator and counselor Grace L. Pan today joined Kaye Scholer’s New York office as Partner. Admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO), she is also a registered Gaikokuho Jimu Bengoshi in Japan, one of only a small group of US lawyers so qualified.

“Grace Pan combines a unique combination of IP litigation experience with a long track record defending foreign patents, especially in Japan and Taiwan,” said Kaye Scholer Co-Managing Partner Michael Solow. “Bridging our top-ranked intellectual property and our strong Asia-Pacific practices, Grace is a key addition for us here and in Asia when it comes to advancing the firm’s long-term goals.”

Formerly a partner in the New York and Tokyo offices of boutique intellectual property firm Frommer Lawrence & Haug LLP, Pan graduated from Northwestern School of Law, with undergraduate degrees in biochemistry, biology and chemistry. Her intellectual property practice has ranged from polymer chemistry to medical devices to semiconductors. Fluent in English, Japanese, Mandarin and Taiwanese, Pan is a regular speaker at the annual BIO International Convention and previously served as a lecturer National Taiwan University, Yang Ming Medical College and the National Defense Medical Center, Tri-Service General Hospital.
