Yingxi Fu Tomlinson is the resident Partner in charge of the firm’s Shanghai office and a member of the Corporate Department. She was born and raised in Shanghai and is among the first small group of attorneys to have received formal legal education in both China and the United States. Ms. Fu-Tomlinson is fluent in English and Mandarin.
MEHRSince her return to Asia in 1995, Ms. Fu-Tomlinson has advised multinational corporations on a wide range of strategic investment, acquisition, restructuring and joint venture projects in various industries. Prior to her relocation, Ms. Fu-Tomlinson practiced for more than six years as a corporate finance lawyer at a large law firm in the United States. She has represented many high-technology companies and financial institutions in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and private placements and other general corporate and commercial matters.
Ms. Fu-Tomlinson was featured in the November 2000 issue of The American Lawyer and was identified by the Leading Lawyers Survey as one of Asia’s leading business lawyers from 2001 to 2006. She is a frequent contributor to professional journals concerning PRC law matters. She speaks several times each year at conferences in Asia and the US on subjects concerning PRC law matters and issues relating to doing business in China in general. She has appeared on CNBC and has been interviewed frequently by other news media such as the New York Law Journal, China Daily, Business Weekly (a China Daily publication), and Global Entrepreneur.
