Jill Kurtzman, a Partner in Kaye Scholer’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department, represents US and international banks and other financial institutions in debt restructurings, secured and unsecured financing transactions, loan workouts, asset sale transactions, and debtor-in-possession financings. She has a broad range of experience representing syndicate agents and individual lenders in out-of-court restructurings and liquidations, Chapter 11 cases and cross-border insolvency matters and is known for her hands-on approach in dealing with such large credit interests as well as middle market matters.

Jill’s representative clients include Bank of America, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and Royal Bank of Scotland (formerly ABN AMRO Bank N.V.).

Jill has extensive experience, including in the transportation, energy and manufacturing industries, and in matters relating to sophisticated structured products. She has recently represented the interests of financial institutions in the restructuring of structured investment vehicles, in the enforcement of security interests in aircraft assets, and in exit financing matters.

Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Jill was a Partner with Clifford Chance. Previous to her affiliation with Clifford Chance, she was with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius as a result of its combination with Zalkin, Rodin & Goodman, a nationally recognized creditors’ rights firm.
