William Li is an Associate in the Litigation Department of Kaye Scholer’s Washington, DC office.
MEHRMr. Li graduated cum laude from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2010. While attending law school, Mr. Li served as Vice President of his law class, participated in the Transnational Tribunals practicum and traveled to Cambodia as part of that program, and co-founded the Wine Law Society.
Mr. Li was a Summer Associate with Kaye Scholer in 2009, and worked on a variety of litigation matters including patent litigation damages, analysis of best practices for source code production and complex contract litigation. He previously interned at the United States Department of Justice, Criminal Division, with the International Prisoner Transfer Unit. In that office, he made recommendations on transfer applications after reviewing the applications and consulting with relevant federal agencies and authorities. Before attending law school, Mr. Li worked at a consulting firm specializing in development and fundraising for non-profit organizations.
Mr. Li received his undergraduate degree in English, with honors, and Biology from Dartmouth College in 2005. He is proficient in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
