Glenn Pogust has been involved in all phases of litigation at the trial and appellate levels since his admission to the New York Bar in 1981. He is actively engaged in cases pending in the federal and state courts in New York, as well as in other jurisdictions.
MEHRMr. Pogust's experience is in the defense of manufacturers of a wide variety of products in personal injury and property damage cases. He is actively involved in national litigation involving an atypical antipsychotic medication, including responsibility for all state cases. Previously, he has been involved in the national coordination of litigation involving over-the-counter decongestants and a diabetes medication for major pharmaceutical manufacturers. He was actively involved in the national coordination of toxic shock syndrome litigation for a leading tampon manufacturer, and served as regional counsel and trial counsel in defense of a major corporation in the silicone gel breast implant litigation. He has represented defendants locally in diet-drug and asbestos litigation. Mr. Pogust has defended a number of chemical, paint product and adhesive manufacturers with respect to a wide range of claimed injuries including chronic disease, wrongful death, and burn injuries from explosions and fires. In addition, Mr. Pogust has represented manufacturers of industrial machinery, power tools, glass products, drug products, medical devices and consumer products. He has experience in the defense of aviation litigation and has litigated a variety of commercial, construction and employment disputes.
