Mr. Rivera's clients include private investors, investment banks, venture capital firms, and multinational corporations specializing in technology, insurance and financial services, media, telecommunications and manufacturing. He provides legal advice regarding the formation of business entities, joint ventures and strategic alliances; financing strategies; structuring acquisitions and sales; and corporate recapitalizations.
From a corporate finance standpoint, he has counseled major corporations and financial institutions in connection with IPOs and public and private equity offerings valued in excess of $8.5 billion. Mr. Rivera has also advised clients in connection with multiple public offerings and private placements of debt with proceeds totaling over $11 billion.
He has counseled several major investment firms and multinational corporations in connection with mergers and acquisitions transactions totaling over $34 billion in value and has represented two of the most prominent semiconductor and technology corporations in Europe in several acquisitions and joint ventures in the United States.
He has also advised clients on corporate governance, antitrust law, stock trading policies, disclosure and regulatory compliance issues and employment and benefit matters. In addition, he has reviewed business plans and earnings announcements and has performed financial and valuation analyses.
Mr. Rivera is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French.
