Marisa Armanino Williams is an Associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation practice group and focuses her practice on patent litigation. She has assisted in litigating patents covering a broad range of technology, from genome sequencing to social networking websites to jet engine turbomachinery. In addition to litigating in federal district court, Marisa has experience in Section 337 investigations before the United States International Trade Commission.
MEHRMarisa currently manages multiple patent litigation cases related to genome sequencing technology. She has experience in all aspects of patent litigation, including arguing and drafting summary judgment motions, deposing inventors, developing invalidity and non-infringement theories, and managing complex discovery issues.
Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Marisa served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Richard Leon of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. She also participated in the Institute for Public Representation, assisting public interest parties in First Amendment and media law litigation.
During law school, Marisa served as the Senior Notes Editor for The Georgetown Law Journal. She also placed second in the Eastern Regional Finals of the American Constitution Society’s National Moot Court Competition.
Marisa currently serves on the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee and Professional Development and Communication Committee. She also has volunteered as an attorney with the Federal Pro Bono Project for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
