Grace Yang practices intellectual property law focusing on pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices and chemistry. She has experience in patent litigation, patent prosecution, patent interferences, due diligence and counseling. Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Grace was an associate at Jones Day working on several cases involving breast cancer gene therapy, hemostatic wound dressings, small molecule pharmaceuticals and antibody-based technologies.

Grace holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California San Diego. Between receiving her doctoral degree and law school, Grace was a member of the intellectual property management department at the Sanford Burnham Medical Research Institute as an intellectual property associate. Her responsibilities included working with inventors, drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and reviewing and assessing technology with regard to its patentability and marketability in the areas of spectroscopy, stem cells, cancer, neurodegeneration, apoptosis and peptidomimetics. She also has negotiated and drafted agreements relating to the licensing of these technologies.
