Jonathan Agudelo is an Associate in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department in the New York office of Kaye Scholer.  He has represented secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 11 reorganization and liquidation cases and out of court restructurings in various industries, including media, aviation, commercial real estate and energy.  Mr. Agudelo has had experience in plan drafting and in all phases of bankruptcy litigation, including discovery practice, mediation, examiner investigations, depositions, and hearings on contested plans.

In his pro bono practice, Mr. Agudelo has represented individual clients in immigration removal proceedings and not-for-profit businesses in federal court lawsuits.

Mr. Agudelo is a member of Kaye Scholer’s Professional Development and Communications Committee and the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department’s Training Committee. While in law school at Boston College, he was a senior editor of the Uniform Commercial Code Reporter-Digest and the president of the Latin American Law Students Association. Mr. Agudelo earned his bachelor’s degree from Duke University with a major in political science and a minor in music with a piano performance concentration.
