Peter J. De Luca is Special Counsel to Kaye Scholer and a member of the firm's Corporate Department.
In 1989, he retired as
Senior Vice President and General Counsel and member of the Board of
General Foods Corporation. Prior to that, he held the same positions at
PepsiCo, Inc. He is a frequent speaker throughout the country on
corporate law department organization, relationships between inside
and outside counsel, duties and responsibilities of officers and
directors, and on legal ethics and professional responsibility.
He is currently Chairman of the Board of Burke Rehabilitation Hospital
and Chairman of Weill Cornell Medical Center's Departmental Associates.
He is also a director of numerous not-for-profit organizations,
including the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the Better Business Bureau of
Metropolitan New York, and the Advisory Board of Cornell-New York
Hospital.
