Caroline Harcourt represents large institutional investors in connection with real estate financings and restructurings. Ms. Harcourt has extensive experience in the origination and disposition of construction loans, bridge loans, permanent loans, mezzanine loans, and multistate and multiproperty mortgage loans affecting all types of properties, including office buildings, hotels, apartment buildings, shopping centers, and residential and commercial condominiums, as well as extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of intercreditor and co-lender arrangements, and the syndication or sale of mortgage and mezzanine loans. Recently, she has worked on forbearance arrangements, work-outs, deeds-in-lieu, mortgage and UCC foreclosures, and bankruptcy sales on behalf of mortgage lenders (and their various steering committees) and mezzanine lenders.
Ms. Harcourt has also represented developers, owners and tenants in all aspects of real estate, including site assemblages, mixed-use development projects, borrower-side construction lending transactions, joint venture and other ownership arrangements, leases including numerous ground leases, construction management and development arrangements, hotel management and franchise arrangements, easements and condominium arrangements, and acquisitions and dispositions, including air rights transfers. She also structured numerous tax incentive packages with municipalities, such as the New York City Industrial Development Agency.
Ms. Harcourt received her B.A., cum laude, from Princeton University and her J.D. from Columbia University. She is the former President of WX, New York Women Executives in Real Estate.
