EU Domiciles for Hedge Funds - What Can We Expect in 2010?
Tuesday, March 9, 2010
In a year when the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive is likely to be agreed upon, and with offshore jurisdictions under increasing pressure to conform with international taxation and transparency standards, can we expect to see a shift in hedge fund domiciles to EU jurisdictions? Is the availability of the UCITS product and passport a determining factor?
Kaye Scholer Investment Funds Partner Simon Firth will chair a panel discussion on EU domiciles for hedge funds, and debate the pros and cons of establishing funds in, and migrating funds to, their respective jurisdictions. The panel comprises:
Peter Stapleton, Partner, Dillon Eustace, Dublin
Johan Terblanche, Senior Associate, Loyens & Loeff, Luxembourg
