Short-Time Work — What Next? Labor Legislation Dealing with the Crisis

Western countries still find themselves in the financial crisis resulting from the real estate meltdown that began in the summer of 2008. Instituting short-time work is not enough of a remedy to offset losses from a collapse in sales and a considerable drop in orders. Companies need to take measures to optimize the assignments of personnel to both realize cost savings and sort out structural problems. This seminar discussed ways to deal with the ongoing economic crisis under German labor legislation and case law.
