“Outsourcing to India — A Joint Presentation with Indian Counsel (Part II)”

March 14, 2007

William A. Tanenbaum, Partner and International Chair of the Technology, Intellectual Property and Outsourcing Group, hosted "Outsourcing to India – A Joint Presentation with Indian Counsel (Part II)," a webinar originally webcast on March 14, 2007. The program, which included special co-presenter Akil Hirani, Managing Partner of the Indian law firm of Majumdar & Co., continued an earlier presentation on the views of both U.S. and Indian counsel on current issues in outsourcing to India. This presentation focused on the key legal issues involved in establishing and operating offshore operations under three common business structures used in India -- wholly owned subsidiaries, engaging an independent Indian outsourcing company and the BOT model in which a U.S. company hires an Indian outsourcing firm to build and operate an offshore business unit for a period of time, and then has the right to buy that business unit. The webinar is part of the monthly CLE Tanenbaum on Technology Law and More series sponsored by West and Celesq®.
