“Emerging Privacy Issues in Europe and their Impact on U.S. Multinational Operations — Part II of a Joint Presentation with Spanish Counsel”

William A. Tanenbaum, Partner and International Chair of the Technology, Intellectual Property and Outsourcing Group, hosted "Emerging Privacy Issues in Europe and their Impact on U.S. Multinational Operations – Part II of a Joint Presentation with Spanish Counsel," a webinar originally webcast on May 16, 2007. The program included special co-presenter Rafael Echegoyen, a partner in the Madrid office of Garrigues, the largest law firm in continental Europe. The program addressed: multi-access applications (cross-border) impacting the regulations governing international transfer of data; whistle-blowing policies; management control of computer use by employees -- expectations of privacy in Europe; labor and union roles in individual employee use of company computers; and video camera monitoring.
