Jay Waks Speaks at Major Conference on Chinese Workplace Policies

Jay W. Waks, Partner in the Litigation Department of the New York office and Chair of the firm's Employment & Labor Law practice, was the pre-dinner speaker on September 26, 2008 at a conference of forty scholars from around the world who specialize in the study of Chinese labor and industry. The three-day conference, "Breaking Down Chinese Walls: The Changing Face of Labor & Employment in China," was held at Cornell University. Mr. Waks' remarks addressed the subject of "Reflections of a U.S. Management-Side Labor/Employment Lawyer on International Labor Education and the Lessons for China" and will be included in Cornell's Web site materials for the conference.
