Jay Waks Chairs Federal Bar Council's 40th Annual Winter Bench & Bar Conference

Jay Waks, Partner in the Litigation Department of the New York office and Chair of the firm's Employment & Labor Law practice, chaired the Federal Bar Council's 40th Annual Winter Bench & Bar Conference from January 27 to February 3, 2008. Over 200 leading members of the bench and bar attended the conference which offers high-quality continuing legal education programs and promotes civility in the practice of law and public service. The panels, which covered a wide range of important topics, included "Supreme Court Review," "Lawyer Trickery," "Where to Go for Relief: Federal Court, State Court or Arbitration?" "Wrongful Convictions: Convicted by Jury; Exonerated by Science?" "Sentencing Theories," "Security, Civil Liberties and Democracy in the Post-9/11 World," "Clinical Trials," and "Cross Examinations."
