Waks was Featured Speaker in Arbitration Webinar

Jay W. Waks, Partner and Chair of the Employment and Labor Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution groups, was the Featured Speaker at a webinar on October 20, 2009, cosponsored by the Cornell Entrepreneurial Network, the Cornell Law School and the Cornell ILR School. The webinar, titled "Ahead of the Curve -- Resolving Statutory (and other) Workplace Discrimination Claims in Arbitration Under Collectively Bargained Agreements," explored the developing caselaw and the practical advantages and disadvantages of using labor arbitration to decide individual claims of workplace discrimination and claims that arise under other statutes that protect workers' rights.
