14th Annual National Institute on Negotiating Business Acquisitions (ABA Section of Business Law, New Orleans, LA)

Joel I. Greenberg, Co-Chair of the Corporate & Finance Department, was Co-Chair of the Fourteenth Annual National Institute on Negotiating Business Acquisitions held in New Orleans on November 12–13, 2009. Nationally recognized M&A lawyers discussed all facets of the acquisition process, including techniques used in structuring and negotiating M&A deals, the tax and securities aspects of business acquisitions, and the impact of recent legal and regulatory developments on M&A transactions. This National Institute also included an extensive mock negotiation that gave valuable insights on negotiating key representations, warranties, closing conditions and indemnification provisions in an acquisition agreement.
