Alice Young, Partner and Chair of Kaye Scholer's Asia Pacific practice, was a panelist at the Asia Society event “Asian Americans Changing the Landscape,” held at the organization's’ New York headquarters on May 19, 2010. Vishakha N. Desai, President of the Asia Society, led the panel and Ms. Young was joined by a group of eminent Asian Americans including New York City Comptroller John C. Liu, Minnesota State Senator Mee Moua, and composer and pianist Vijay Iyer.
The panelists explored pertinent issues such as how Asian Americans have changed the landscape of American life, the commonalities and differences in the shared experiences of various Asian American groups, how their political and civic engagements differ from those of other ethnic groups and what we can learn from different levels and kinds of achievement among groups.
