Negotiating the M&A Deal: A Mock Negotiation of the Acquisition of a Privately Held Company (Columbia Law School, New York, NY)

On March 20, 2012, from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Senior Corporate Partner Joel I. Greenberg will serve on a panel with a group of seasoned mergers & acquisitions attorneys from major law firms across North America to stage an interactive "mock negotiation" at Columbia Law School. The panelists will illustrate the "give-and-take" in a contentious negotiation involving a middle-market acquisition of a privately-held company, focusing on some of the more controversial provisions included in the definitive acquisition agreement. The panelists will step out of character frequently during the course of their presentation to explain their negotiating positions and strategies and to respond to questions from the audience.
