Airline Economics presented a conference in Dublin on growth frontiers in the aviation industry. The three-day event featured key executives from international banks, financial institutions, airlines and leasing companies speaking on the current state of the aviation industry and prospects and trends for 2013. Partners Michael Mulitz, Daniel Hartnett and Willys Schneider, along with Michael Gangemi from WNG Capital and Chris Chaput from RPK Capital, presented a panel about “Private Equity and Hedge Fund Investments in Aircraft and Aircraft Leasing” on January 22, where they discussed structures, opportunities and challenges for private equity investments in the aviation industry.

In addition, Henry Morriello, Chair of Kaye Scholer’s Finance Department, moderated the conference’s CFO/Treasurer panel on January 21, in which he discussed the 2013 outlook for airline finance, including which financing strategies to look for to fund deliveries, which aircraft to order and what will affect the decision-making process in the year ahead.
