Associate Ross Neihaus is participating in a presentation given by the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE) at the University of Chicago on May 20, as part of the school’s Sexual Assault Awareness Week. The presentation will be on “Sexual Assault, the Law, and What Happens Next.” Ross will discuss a recent pro bono matter he handled for CAASE, in which he represented a college student who was the victim of a sexual assault on campus. Ross will describe his experience interacting with the criminal justice system as well as the university system to obtain relief for his client.
This is the second pro bono matter that Ross has handled for CAASE, and the Firm’s relationship with the organization is set to continue. Ross has been appointed to CAASE’s board of directors, and plans to take on additional matters for the organization in the future. In addition, on May 28, our Chicago office will be hosting a CAASE training session for other area lawyers interested in joining the organization’s pro bono attorney program.
