Fritz, Steger Make Presentations at Kartellrechtsforum Frankfurt
Frankfurt-based Employment & Labor partner Hans-Joachim Fritz and Antitrust associate Jens Steger made presentations at the Frankfurt Antitrust Association (Kartellrechtsforum Frankfurt), which was hosted in our Frankfurt office on October 7 and attended by approximately 25 different antitrust lawyers from several leading law firms in and around Frankfurt.
Fritz discussed the most recent antitrust related decision of the State Labor Court North-Rhine Westphalia that ruled on a damage claim of a company against one of its former employees regarding compensation for antitrust damages (€191 million).
Steger provided a detailed presentation based on his antitrust analysis regarding the legal possibilities of so-called “Consolidation of Damages Clauses” (Schadenspauschalierungsklausel) under German and European antitrust law that had been previously published in Food–Newspaper (Lebensmittel Zeitung),the leading newspaper for the German food industry.
