Kaye Scholer Representing Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in Partnership to Construct Greenpac Mill

Kaye Scholer is representing Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec as an equity investor and mezzanine lender in a partnership with Cascades Inc., Jamestown Container and one other industry partner, for the purpose of constructing and operating Greenpac Mill LLC (“Greenpac”), a state-of-the-art containerboard mill to be located in New York State. Greenpac will be constructed for $430 million on property located adjacent to an existing facility operated by Norampac, a division of Cascades, in Niagara Falls, New York. Greenpac will manufacture a light weight linerboard, made with 100% recycled fibers. The construction of Greenpac will create 108 new jobs in the State of New York, as well as contribute to the economic development of the region. The Kaye Scholer team includes Jeffrey D.
