Kaye Scholer Announces Attorney Elevations for 2012
Four new partners and six counsel named in firm’s New York, DC, London and Shanghai offices
New York — Kaye Scholer today announced that it has elevated four counsel to partner effective January 1, 2012. The firm also announced that six associates have been raised to the position of counsel.

Kaye Scholer's newest Partners are:
Lowell I. Dashefsky (Corporate/New York): Dashefsky focuses on corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity transactions and joint ventures, on behalf of domestic and foreign companies such as private equity sponsors and publicly and privately held companies in various industries. He also has experience in public and private securities offerings and regularly advises companies on day-to-day corporate and transactional matters. A graduate of Union College, he holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School.
David Gerber (Corporate/London): Gerber has a wide range of corporate experience with particular focus on international mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. He has handled a broad range of deals including a number of buy-outs, multi-jurisdictional sales and disposals, joint ventures and complex restructurings. A graduate of Oxford University, he holds an LLB from Glasgow University.
Jason Hoffman (Intellectual Property/Washington, DC): Hoffman has been involved in numerous intellectual property cases, and has been successful at trial on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. His courtroom victories also include obtaining temporary restraining orders, securing preliminary injunctions, and the granting of dispositive motions in both federal and state courts across the country. A graduate of Brandeis University, he holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Andrew K. Solow (Products Liability/New York): A member of the firm’s Life Sciences group, Solow focuses on complex commercial litigation and mass-tort pharmaceutical product liability litigation. He has extensive state and federal court experience representing major US and international corporations, individual clients, charitable trusts, and private equity funds in all phases of the litigation process. A graduate of Syracuse University, he holds a JD from Pace University School of Law.

Peter Danias (Corporate/New York): Danias advises clients on Hart-Scott-Rodino issues, international premerger filing requirements, broker-dealer regulatory matters and state securities laws. In addition, he has represented various clients before the New York and American Stock Exchanges and the various NASDAQ Stock Markets, and has worked on a variety of both public and private financings. A graduate of Fordham University, he holds a JD from Southwestern University School of Law.
Gregory Jaeger (Government Contracts/Washington, DC): Jaeger concentrates on government contracts counseling and litigation, M&A due diligence and counseling, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and export control compliance. He has worked on numerous M&A transactions, and has first-chaired a wide range of trials and appellate arguments. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he holds a JD from the University of Denver.
Jordan Katzenberg (Real Estate/New York): Katzenberg focuses on real estate capital markets transactions, including the representation of investment banks and other institutional lenders in the origination, securitization, restructuring, workout and foreclosure of first mortgage debt and mezzanine loans as well as representing such lenders in connection with participation, co-lender and intercreditor arrangements. He also has broad experience in other areas of commercial real estate, including the representation of clients in the acquisition and disposition of office buildings, hotels and other real estate projects. A graduate of Johns Hopkins University, he holds a JD from Boston University School of Law.
David A. Sausen (Tax/New York): Sausen focuses on tax issues relating to M&A, partnerships and limited liability companies, investment funds, leveraged leasing, sovereign wealth funds and cross-border transactions. In addition, he has considerable experience in forming and advising tax-exempt organizations on various issues including private inurement, self-dealing, unrelated business taxable income, and excess benefit transactions. A graduate of Cornell University, he holds a JD from Cornell Law School and an LLM in Taxation from the New York University School of Law.
Jeanna M. Wacker (Intellectual Property/New York): Wacker’s practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property litigation and counseling, with particular focus on biotech and pharmaceutical patent litigation, including extensive experience working on jury trials from pre-litigation counseling through trial to appeal or settlement. In addition, she has experience with intellectual property due diligence matters, as well as M&A matters involving intellectual property. With a BS in Biochemistry and Genetics and Cell Biology from University of Minnesota, she holds a JD from Boston University School of Law.
Steven R. Wright (Corporate/Shanghai): Wright focuses on M&A and foreign direct investment. He advises major US and European multinational corporations on a wide range of issues relating to the maintenance and expansion of their business operations in the PRC and also has substantial experience working with US companies on domestic transactions. A graduate of Dartmouth College, he holds a JD from Harvard Law School.
