Kaye Scholer Hires Beatrice Seravello As its First Chief Strategy Officer

Will oversee all revenue-generating strategies in an expanded role, including Marketing and Practice Management functions

February 11, 2014

New York: Kaye Scholer today brought on seasoned law firm executive Beatrice Seravello as its first-ever Chief Strategy Officer.

As CSO, Seravello has oversight for all revenue-generating activities, leading Strategy, Business Development, Marketing and Practice Management for the firm, overseeing targeted new business and revenue growth, client development and retention strategies, pricing initiatives, legal project management, practice development, marketing, public relations and firm communications.

Based in the firm’s New York office, Seravello will report directly to Kaye Scholer Managing Partner Michael Solow. She will also work closely with Kaye Scholer’s Executive Committee, Practice and Office Leadership, the Chief Operating Officer and heads of key administrative functions to evaluate current strategies and identify and develop new ones to drive growth, improve profitability and continue to refine and enhance delivery of client services.

“Bea’s arrival and the creation of the CSO position is part of our larger vision for Kaye Scholer’s long-term success as we get ready to embark upon our second century,” said Solow. “In an increasingly competitive environment, it is no longer productive to try to be all things to all people, which is why we have actively been streamlining our legal practices to focus on the core areas and industries for which our clients turn to us again and again. This requires and will continue to require us to be extremely strategic not only in how we deploy our resources, but also in fully integrating all necessary functions and strategies to deliver both exceptional client service and value. Bea’s ability to see the big picture and how all the moving pieces fit together will be vital to helping us achieve that vision.”

Seravello has significant experience in practice group management, financial analysis, law firm economics and strategically focused marketing. Most recently CSO at Blank Rome, where she helped formulate, develop and implement that firm’s revenue generating strategies and policies, Seravello also spent six years at Dechert as its Firmwide Practice Group Director and five years as Managing Director of International Marketing for the New York Stock Exchange.
