Kaye Scholer Announces New Counsel for 2015

Hanna G. Cohen (Intellectual Property/New York) has worked on a wide array of intellectual property matters, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology and telecommunications litigations, licensing, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology opinions.  She is a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Ms. Cohen has experience in all aspects of patent litigation and has argued before the New York Supreme Court in commercial and public interest matters. She received her JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Kimberly Frank (Complex Commercial Litigation/Washington, DC) focuses on electric utility regulation and the economics of complex electricity markets. She represents clients in a broad array of matters before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and state regulatory agencies, and in appellate matters arising out of those agencies’ decisions. Kimberly’s experience includes regional market design and oversight, prudence, fraud, transmission rates and incentives, electric reliability, cost-of-service and demand response. She received her JD from Georgetown University Law Center.

Michael D. Keenan (Finance/New York) focuses on securities and corporate finance, with an emphasis on asset-backed securitizations and secured lending involving a range of asset classes, including commercial and residential mortgages, student loans, autos and aircraft. Mr. Keenan is also involved in the workout and restructuring of defaulted loans, and the sale and liquidation of distressed financial assets on behalf of financial institutions. He holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law.

Kathryn L. Schmanski(Bankruptcy & Restructuring/Chicago) concentrates her practice in all aspects of corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, and insolvency proceedings. She has experience on all sides of such matters, having represented lenders, bondholders, agents, trustees and debtors in complex corporate reorganizations, including fully-consensual out-of-court deals and chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. She holds a JD from The University of Notre Dame Law School.

Debra E. Schreck (Complex Commercial Litigation/New York) represents clients in a variety of commercial matters. Debra defends individual and corporate clients in matters related to antitrust, securities and healthcare, including pharmaceutical companies involved in qui tam litigation and state and federal criminal and civil investigations of healthcare fraud. Debra also assists corporate clients in conducting large-scale internal investigations and advises them on matters related to internal compliance programs. Debra serves on the firm’s Recruiting Committee and is active in the firm’s mentoring program. She holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law.

Jeremy M. White (Complex Commercial Litigation/Washington, DC) counsels and represents a wide range of clients in complex litigation matters in the wage and hour and employment discrimination areas. He has specific expertise in collective and class actions under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws. Jeremy has also represented pro bono clients, including disability rights organizations, in various matters. For his pro bono work, Jeremy has received two Washington Lawyers’ Committee Outstanding Achievement Awards. He is a graduate of Washington University School of Law.
