Joel Greenberg Quoted in Reuters on Downturn in M&A Market

Joel Greenberg, Co-Chair of the Corporate & Finance Department, was quoted in the September 30, 2008 Reuters article titled "Deals Frozen as Markets Gyrate."  The article discusses the downturn in the global mergers and acquisitions market due to market volatility, difficulty in obtaining financing and waiting to see how the U.S. bailout plan works out.  "The credit markets have totally seized up, at least right now," said Mr. Greenberg.  "If Congress acts in the next couple of days it may open up again, but the thought of trying to go out and finance a significant acquisition now would be a very daunting prospect.  Any acquisition that requires financing ... at this present moment would be very difficult."
