Nicholas O’Keefe Offers Insights on European Interest in US M&A in Daily Journal

As seen in Daily Journal’s “Inbound Deals from Europe Help Fuel Merger Boom”

September 18, 2014

Daily Journal reports that there has been a prominent increase in mergers and acquisitions activity in the United States this year, primarily due to a number of significant inbound deals from Europe. European companies see the US as being a relatively safe place to do business as opposed to other international markets that have not yet rebounded from the recent recession.

According to Kaye Scholer Corporate Partner Nicholas O’Keefe, “I think the US M&A market has shaken off the great recession completely. Europe hasn’t really done that yet.” He added, “It makes sense that the US is a better environment in which to look for deals.”
