Sheila Boston Honored with New York Law Journal “Lawyers Who Lead by Example” Lifetime Achievement Award
New York Law Journal honored partner Sheila Boston with a “Lawyers Who Lead By Example” 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award. The accolade recognizes Boston’s commitment to providing pro bono legal services to those who are in need, as well as for her extensive efforts to promote diversity in the legal profession.
In a profile published in New York Law Journal (subscription required), Boston discussed the cases that have brought her the most pride, which range from helping a mother of two secure much-needed child support payments from her ex-husband to serving as second chair in a discrimination class action brought on behalf of 2,400 African American midlevel manager plaintiffs.
"I believe in making the world a better place,” said Boston. “Whether it's for my clients, the colleagues at the firm or in the bar organizations with whom I work and my pro bono clients, I love helping people."
New York Law Journal’s annual “Lawyers Who Lead by Example” feature recognizes “attorneys who share their vision for a better world and a passion to work, either publicly or behind the scenes, to solve problems facing the profession and fight injustice.”
