BTI Names Kaye Scholer a “Leading Core” Firm in the Pharmaceuticals Industry

July 7, 2016

The BTI Power Rankings 2016 lists Kaye Scholer as a “Leading Core” firm in the pharmaceuticals industry, distinguishing the firm as one that captures 80 percent of clients’ work and legal spending in the space. According to BTI, “Core law firms are in the most coveted position with clients and have the best access to the client’s most attractive work.” They are the “go-to firms” and the ones clients “recommend most to their peers.”

BTI Power Rankings 2016 evaluated 513 law firms after surveying top legal decision makers at organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue. Over the course of 322 in-depth telephone interviews, these decision makers were asked to name their core providers across 16 different industries based on the strength of their relationships. On average, corporate counsel that were interviewed used 42 different law firms on a daily basis—and of this group, only 12 law firms were considered “Core.”

Now in its sixteenth year of ongoing study with GCs and legal decision makers, BTI Power Rankings is recognized for research that is independent and unbiased—no law firm or organization other than BTI sponsors this study.
