SEC Approves Nasdaq and NYSE Proposals Regarding Compensation Committees and Advisors
Summary: The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved amendments proposed by the NASDAQ Stock Market (Nasdaq) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to their listing standards pertaining to, among other things, the independence of compensation committee members and the ability of a compensation committee to obtain the advice of consultants, legal counsel and other advisors.
