Kaye Scholer's representation in real estate litigation is a natural extension of our work in real estate transactions and in all types of commercial litigation. We regularly represents clients in purchase and sale disputes, construction claims, high stakes landlord-tenant disputes, site development and environmental litigation, land and real property appraisals and arbitrations, brokerage commission disputes, and co-op/condominium disputes among sponsors, investors and tenants and in real property tax reduction.
The firm's strength in real estate litigation builds on its strong understanding of contract law, its ability to devise innovative strategies that have convinced courts to make new decisional law and to extend the law beyond what was previously thought possible and its experience and familiarity with technical issues, including mechanical and electrical systems, performance specifications and critical path schedules.
