For Third Consecutive Year, Jay Waks Named One of the Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys by Human Resource Executive

June 16, 2010

For the third consecutive year, Jay Waks, Partner in the Litigation Department of the New York office and Chair of the Employment & Labor Law practice, has been named to “The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” for 2010 by Human Resource Executive. This prestigious list, published in its June 16, 2010, cover story, “Facing Up to Obama,” is compiled annually by the magazine and Lawdragon, a news and networking site for lawyers and clients. Candidates are researched and vetted from HRE’s and Lawdragon’s extensive databases of lawyers and clients, and selected on the basis of submissions by firms, evaluations by clients and peers, and research by the Lawdragon editorial staff. The HRE article states, “It’s a brave new world for HR under the Obama administration. In a sharp departure from the Bush years, employment practices are under intense scrutiny on nearly every front, from overtime issues to the classification of workers to mandatory arbitration.”
