"Bank Payroll Tax — Where Are We?" Tax Journal

Daniel Lewin, Partner in the Tax Department, and Owen Watkins, Consultant in the Investment Funds group, co-authored the article “Bank Payroll Tax — Where Are We?” that appeared in the February 8, 2010, issue of the Tax Journal, one of the leading tax publications in the U.K. The article examines HM Revenue and Custom’s “one-off” bank payroll tax (“BPT”) on bonuses paid by certain financial institutions operating in the U.K. and the possible impact of BPT on the U.K. financial services industry.
