The Kaye Scholer Private Clients team counsels individuals, their families, family offices and closely held businesses. To help our clients achieve their family planning and dispositive goals, we address family governance and related issues, and mitigate exposure to tax, both for current and future generations. Our role often involves structuring clients’ business affairs and family investments, investing in financial products, using trusts and other vehicles to structure investments, and dealing with tax issues arising from life-changing events such as marriage, divorce or death, on a U.S. and global basis. The team is comprised of lawyers in a variety of disciplines from the firm’s worldwide offices, including Frankfurt, London, Los Angeles, New York and West Palm Beach, who use their vast experience to address an array of U.S.-based and cross-border wealth planning and preservation matters.
