Dr. Martin Weger is a Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s Frankfurt office and heads the German tax practice. He primarily focuses on tax law, corporate finance and M&A.
Dr. Sebastian Jungermann (04/29/13)
Dr. Sebastian Jungermann is a partner in Kaye Scholer’s Frankfurt office and heads the German Competition and Antitrust Practice. Sebastian advises clients regarding German and European competition and antitrust laws, including German, EU and multi-jurisdictional merger control proceedings, cartel proceedings, abuse-of-dominance proceedings, litigation, compliance programs, as well as internal audits and contractual advice. Sebastian represents his clients before courts, the German Federal Cartel Office, the European Commission as well as the US Department of Justice. Sebastian further advises in the fields of corporate law, IP, data protection, outsourcing and other technology-related areas. In addition, Sebastian is involved in international litigation, including pre-trial discovery proceedings in support of US litigation.

Dr. Gottfried Freier is Special Counsel at Kaye Scholer and headed the Frankfurt office as its Managing Partner from 2007 to May 2012. Prior to going into private practice, Dr. Freier was in-house counsel with BASF Aktiengesellschaft in the Patent, Central Legal and Group Tax Departments, and later became General Counsel of BASF Pharma, with worldwide responsibility for legal, taxes, insurance and trademarks.

Klaus Eyber is a Partner in the Frankfurt office. His practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial law, as well as litigation, arbitration and various types of dispute resolution. Dr. Eyber has handled IPOs and mergers and acquisitions for major international corporations. On the litigation side, Dr. Eyber is particularly experienced in damage compensation and forensic services, and concentrates in advising entities that have suffered substantial damage caused by fraud, tort, negligence, mismanagement or breach of contract.
Zaldwaynaka (Z) Scott (04/24/13)
Zaldwaynaka (Z) Scott is Co-Chair of Kaye Scholer’s Chicago White Collar Litigation and Internal Investigations Practice. Z is a seasoned trial lawyer, having taken more than 40 mostly jury trials to verdict in federal court. She concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation, corporate internal investigations (including matters related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), counseling on corporate compliance matters and white collar criminal defense. Her federal civil and criminal litigation experience includes accounting and commercial fraud, public corruption, civil tax appeals and criminal tax prosecutions, money-laundering and investment, and financial institution fraud. She has also led and represented companies in complex and extensive government regulatory and criminal grand jury investigations. Z has experience in appellate practice and has briefed and argued cases before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
