Michael J. Malecek is Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Department and a member of the White Collar Litigation and Internal Investigations group. Mike represents some of the leading biotech and technology companies in the US, including Google, Sequenom, Affymetrix, Complete Genomics, and salesforce.com. His practice largely focuses on patent litigation, but he has experience in all areas of litigation, including general commercial, white collar, compliance, securities and employment. He has served as trial counsel in over a dozen jury trials, all of which resulted in victories for his clients.

Michael Rogoff, Co-Chair of Kaye Scholer’s Complex Commercial Litigation Department and Chair of the White Collar Litigation and Internal Investigations Practice Group, is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer whose practice is concentrated in the areas of white collar and civil litigation. He has represented major US and international corporations, as well as corporate directors and individuals, in a wide variety of disputes involving health care, securities, product liability, antitrust, consumer class action, trademark and copyright, trade secrets and breach of contract. Michael is also experienced in conducting internal investigations, as well as representing clients in SEC and grand jury investigations. He is a co-author of the Kaye Scholer LLP Deskbook on Internal Investigations, Corporate Compliance and White Collar Issues (Practising Law Institute 2011).

Amy Conway-Hatcher is a Partner in Kaye Scholer’s Complex Commercial Litigation Department, and is head of the White Collar Litigation and Internal Investigations Practice in Washington, DC. Amy’s practice focuses on corporate internal investigations, corporate compliance and defending corporate and individual clients in criminal and civil enforcement matters. She has appeared before the Department of Justice, US Attorneys’ Offices, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Commerce Department, the Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the New York Attorney General’s Office, as well as other federal and state regulators.

Arthur E. Brown is Co-Head of Kaye Scholer’s Product Liability Group, and a member of the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Group. His practice focuses on representing and advising clients on mass tort and product liability issues, investigations by federal and state authorities, inquiries from Congress and commercial litigation disputes. As part of his practice, Arthur frequently serves as national counsel representing pharmaceutical companies in mass tort product liability actions, advises clients on strategic litigation and settlement decisions in the areas of commercial litigation and white collar investigations, and counsels clients on litigation avoidance.
Manvin Mayell (01/16/14)
Manvin Mayell is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on major product liability cases, white collar investigations and commercial litigation. He has represented domestic and foreign corporations in a variety of litigations, including the nationally coordinated defense of leading pharmaceutical companies facing hundreds of product liability suits. He has also represented clients in antitrust and breach of contract litigation. Mr. Mayell, a former Assistant US Attorney, is also experienced in white collar litigation, including representing pharmaceutical clients in government investigations regarding marketing practices, and representing financial services clients in internal investigations of alleged accounting fraud. Mr. Mayell has used those experiences to counsel clients regarding compliance issues and to lead compliance reviews. Mr. Mayell is an experienced trial lawyer, having tried numerous cases to verdict and handled a variety of appeals. He is a co-author of the Kaye Scholer LLP Deskbook on Internal Investigations, Corporate Compliance and White Collar Issues (Practising Law Institute 2007), focusing on issues under the federal False Claims Act.

Debra Schreck is an Associate in Kaye Scholer’s Complex Commercial Litigation Department, representing clients in a variety of commercial matters. As part of her work in the Department’s White Collar Litigation and Internal Investigations practice group, Ms. Schreck defends individual and corporate clients in matters related to securities and healthcare, including pharmaceutical companies involved in complex state and federal criminal and civil investigations of healthcare fraud. She also assists corporate clients in conducting large-scale internal investigations, and advises them on matters related to internal compliance programs.
