Willys H. Schneider (04/07/14)

Willys Schneider is a Partner at Kaye Scholer, focusing on tax law. Her practice is broad-based, covering tax issues relating to mergers and acquisitions; formation and operation of REITs, partnerships and limited liability companies; structured finance and securitization; formation of private equity funds; and cross-border transactions. Willys also advises a number of charitable and other tax exempt institutions and currently serves on Kaye Scholer’s Pro Bono Committee. Willys is a member of the Board of Directors of each of the International Tax Institute and Poets & Writers. She currently serves as Director of Legal and Tax Information of the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) and is a member of AFIRE’s Executive Committee. She has also served as an Articles Editor of The Tax Lawyer, the quarterly journal of the Section of Taxation of the American Bar Association.

Joseph Kohn is an Associate in the Litigation Department of Kaye Scholer’s New York office. Joseph’s recent experience includes the representation of a brand name pharmaceutical manufacturer in several federal and state class actions alleging claims of monopolization and conspiracy to restrain generic competition, as well as RICO violations. In Re Skelaxin (Metaxalone) Antitrust Litigation, MDL No. 2343. Joseph also represents companies within the Knauf Group in federal and state actions brought by thousands of homeowners who allegedly had defective Chinese-manufactured drywall in their homes. In Re Chinese-Manufactured Drywall Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2047.

Irv Hepner is Counsel in Kaye Scholer’s Los Angeles office, where he concentrates on portfolio real estate leasing and development programs, and real estate financing matters.

Neal Hampton (03/28/14)

Neal Hampton is an Associate in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department in the New York office of Kaye Scholer. Mr. Hampton has represented secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 11 reorganization and liquidation cases in various industries, including institutional pharmacies, entertainment, heavy equipment rental, and commercial real estate. He has experience in confirming plans of reorganization or liquidation, negotiating, documenting and consummating asset sales in bankruptcy cases, evaluating complex fraud claims and lender liability claims, and defending preference claims. Mr. Hampton also has experience in Chapter 15 proceedings and in a variety of contract, licensing and other business litigation matters.
