Michael J. Malecek is Co-Chair of the Intellectual Property Department and a member of the White Collar Litigation and Internal Investigations group. Mike represents some of the leading biotech and technology companies in the US, including Google, Sequenom, Affymetrix, Complete Genomics, and salesforce.com. His practice largely focuses on patent litigation, but he has experience in all areas of litigation, including general commercial, white collar, compliance, securities and employment. He has served as trial counsel in over a dozen jury trials, all of which resulted in victories for his clients.

Dr. Sebastian Jungermann (03/07/14)
Dr. Sebastian Jungermann is a partner in Kaye Scholer’s Frankfurt office and heads the German Competition and Antitrust Practice. Sebastian advises clients regarding German and European competition and antitrust laws, including German, EU and multi-jurisdictional merger control proceedings, cartel proceedings, abuse-of-dominance proceedings, litigation, compliance programs, as well as internal audits and contractual advice. Sebastian represents his clients before courts, the German Federal Cartel Office, the European Commission as well as the US Department of Justice. Sebastian further advises in the fields of corporate law, IP, data protection, outsourcing and other technology-related areas. In addition, Sebastian is involved in international litigation, including pre-trial discovery proceedings in support of US litigation.

Ashley is an Associate in the Complex Commercial Litigation Group. She has experience in all phases of litigation, from pre-pleading investigations and discovery to post-trial motion practice. Ashley has experience in a variety of white collar litigations, internal investigations, compliance counseling and commercial litigation matters. She has defended major corporations in complex state and federal investigations involving anti-kickback statute violations, False Claims Act violations and other issues related to sales, marketing and pricing practices. She is fluent in Spanish.
