Senior Associate

Alexander Cousins focuses on mass tort product liability litigation and complex commercial litigation. He has extensive experience representing major pharmaceutical companies in state and federal court and has served as national counsel in large multidistrict litigations. Alexander has experience in all phases of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial.

A steadfast advocate of pro bono work, he has successfully represented clients in child custody and support proceedings and social security disability hearings, among other matters.

Alexander graduated from New York University School of Law, where he was Staff Editor of the Environmental Law Journal. He earned his A.B. in Politics, with a concentration in International Relations, from Princeton University.

  • AstraZeneca as national counsel in multidistrict litigation involving proton pump inhibitors, Prilosec and Nexium.
  • Pfizer as national counsel in asbestos litigations filed across the United States.
  • Brand name pharmaceutical manufacturer in defense of several putative class and multiple individual antitrust actions alleging that the manufacturer conspired with a potential generic entrant to delay or block generic entry in violation of Section 1 of the Sherman Act and certain state antitrust, unfair trade practices, and related laws.
