Ms. Co represents clients in the music, entertainment, publishing, fashion, biotechnology, banking, sports, software, financial services, cosmetics, and media-related industries in connection with various litigation matters, trademark matters, IT and business process outsourcings, and corporate transactions involving intellectual property. Ms. Co is also active in numerous intellectual property and human rights pro bono matters.
Her experience includes litigation-related activities in cases involving copyright, trademark, unfair competition, and patent law before federal courts, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, the World Intellectual Property Organization Arbitration and Mediation Center, and the National Arbitration Forum; drafting license agreements and outsourcing services agreements; advising clients with respect to trademark clearance and use, and prosecuting trademark applications; and intellectual property due diligence for bank acquisition financings and mergers and acquisitions.
In 2008, Ms. Co was seconded to Lucasfilm Ltd. for five months, where she assisted with a wide variety of intellectual property matters. During this time, she negotiated, drafted, and assisted with license agreements and amendments, including agreements governing domain names, promotions, content management, and distribution and online broadcasting rights; provided litigation support; and researched and provided counsel on various copyright and trademark matters, particularly with respect to potentially infringing products and online anti-piracy efforts. Ms. Co continues to assist Lucasfilm and LucasArts with agreements and copyright and license disputes.
