Daniel Hope’s practice focuses on protecting and promoting clients’ rights in commercial litigation, including breach of contract disputes and disputes arising out of corporate and commercial transactions. He represents clients in state and federal litigation throughout the United States, and his work covers a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, private aviation, real estate, financial services and steel manufacturing. Mr. Hope has experience in all aspects of motion and discovery practice, including arguing motions; preparing for and taking depositions; drafting direct and cross examination scripts, pleadings, agreements and discovery requests; and managing the review and production of documents. He recently represented pharmaceutical manufacturers in government actions concerning drug pricing and Medicaid reimbursement; a real estate management company in an action involving corporate governance and corporate control issues; and private aviation clients in an action involving numerous contract-based and equitable claims. He is active in the firm’s pro bono program, where he has represented individuals in political asylum and social security disability benefits cases.

Prior to joining Kaye Scholer, Mr. Hope worked with a trademark, copyright and unfair competition boutique firm, where he assisted in managing clients’ trademark portfolios and obtaining international trademark registrations.

Mr. Hope graduated from Fordham University School of Law, where he served as a member of the Urban Law Journal. He was a board member of the Fordham Dispute Resolution Society, for which he coached and competed in domestic and international negotiation and mediation competitions.

Mr. Hope is a member of the Recruiting Committee.
