Sheri Jeffrey is a Partner in the Finance Department and a member of the Entertainment group in Kaye Scholer’s Los Angeles office.
Ms. Jeffrey's practice covers a wide range of entertainment matters. She represents various clients in all types of entertainment industry transactions, including for development, acquisitions, finance and production of motion pictures, television series and new technologies projects (both live-action and animation). In addition, Ms. Jeffrey has extensive experience in representing and currently represents members of the entertainment industry in their licensing and distribution arrangements, including sales agencies arrangements, co-productions, split-rights, territorial out-put deals, studio out-put deals and first-look deals.
She has represented producers, distributors, completion guarantors and entertainment lenders (both in the U.S. and internationally) in financings with collateral packages, including multi-territory distribution agreements with foreign production subsidies, foreign governmental tax and other incentives and other credit enhancements such as negative cost insurance.
Ms. Jeffrey represents buyers, sellers and lenders in many significant library acquisitions and publishers in relation to exploitation of their libraries.
Ms. Jeffrey has extensive experience in representing companies involved in various entertainment services such as post-production, video duplication, special effects in financings, strategic alliances and general counsel representations.
