Michael A. Santoro's practice is concentrated in the areas of real estate, commercial law and bankruptcy, with an emphasis on workouts and debt and equity financing, representing investment banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, developers, investors and borrowers. He conducts a broad-based practice which includes real estate structured finance transactions, loans intended for securitization, construction loans, multi state and multi-property financings and commercial and asset based lending, as well as acquisitions and dispositions of property and loan portfolios, commercial leasing, property management and general real estate and commercial matters.
Mr. Santoro has represented investment banks in connection with the development, formation and implementation of mortgage loan conduits structured for the capital markets. Mr. Santoro also has extensive experience in the workout of troubled assets, including restructuring, foreclosures and bankruptcies. He has represented clients in connection with office buildings, regional shopping centers, hotels, stadiums and commercial, industrial, residential, mixed-use and other specialized properties.
