Stewart Wallace has extensive experience on a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters. Mr. Wallace has over ten years of experience representing major international financial institutions, as well as officers, directors and major shareholders in securities, derivatives, commodities and contract litigations. Mr. Wallace has also represented debtors, creditors and other parties in adversary proceedings in the Bankruptcy Courts regarding complex transactions and other bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy-related matters. He has litigated every facet of a case, including drafting complaints and pre-trial motions to dismiss, overseeing massive discovery productions, preparing lay and expert witnesses for deposition and trial, assisting at bench and jury trials, and drafting appellate briefs.
Mr. Wallace is a member of the Kaye Scholer litigation team that recently won sweeping victories for a major financial institution in Enron-related litigation when the Southern District of New York dismissed all of the claims against the client and awarded it a judgment on its counterclaims of over $400 million.
Mr. Wallace is also actively involved in the firm’s pro bono matters, including recently representing LatinoJustice PRLDEF (f/k/a the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund) for an amicus brief filed with the Supreme Court of the United States challenging the constitutionality of Arizona’s funding levels for its schoolchildren in need of bilingual education.
Mr. Wallace is a member of Kaye Scholer's Diversity Committee, and heads the firm’s LGBT affinity group.
